| الوصف: | El libro que reseñamos representa una excelente respuesta a la hegemonía anglófona en el ámbito de las geografías feministas, que ya había sido anteriormente señalada en varios foros internacionales. En este volumen, sin negar el papel que el ámbito anglófono ha tenido como pionero y difusor del enfoque de género en la geografía contemporánea, se compilan intencionadamente otras voces, de diferentes entornos lingüísticos y culturales del continente americano y del continente europeo. Con esta recopilación de ocho aportaciones muy diversas, coordinada por dos geógrafas mexicanas, se contribuye a equilibrar la balanza de la visibilidad, siempre mayor cuando se utiliza la lengua inglesa como canal de proyección. Aunque no se cubra la totalidad del globo, con esta obra se amplía notablemente la perspectiva y el conocimiento de las distintas geografías feministas y del camino que han tenido que recorrer en el marco de sus respectivos contextos geográficos y culturales. This book represents an excellent response to the Anglo-Saxon hegemony in the field of feminist geographies, which had already been mentioned in several international forums. Without refusing the role that the Anglo-Saxon area has undoubtedly had in pioneering and spreading the gender approach in contemporary geography, other voices from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds in America and in Europe are intentionally compiled. This collection of eight very different contributions, coordinated by two Mexican geographers, contributes to balance the visibility, always greater when English is the language used to communicate. Even if the entire globe is not covered, this work considerably expands the perspective and knowledge of the different feminist geographies and the path they have pursued in their own geographical and cultural contexts. |
