| الوصف: | Au ive siècle avant J.‑C. à Paestum, Grecs et Lucaniens cohabitent pacifiquement. La cité connaît alors un rayonnement culturel grâce à l’important essor des ateliers de poterie et à la multiplication des tombes peintes, autant d’éléments qui viennent asseoir l’affirmation de l’aristocratie lucanienne. Au travers de ces peintures pariétales funéraires sont développées diverses scènes reflétant les pratiques quotidiennes, sportives ou encore culturelles des habitants de la cité. Mais y sont aussi figurées de simples représentations d’objets dont l’intérêt est de justement déterminer leur valeur propre et/ou complémentaire à celles des autres fresques, du mobilier funéraire déposé ou encore du genre de l’individu inhumé. In the fourth century BC, Paestum, Greek and Lucanians coexist peacefully. The city know cultural influence through the important development of pottery and the multiplication of painted tombs, all of which confirm the strenghthening of the Lucanian aristocracy. Through these funerary parietal paintings various scenes show the daily, sports or cultural practice of the city inhabitants. But there are also simple representations of objects whose value is precisely to determine their own value and/or complementary to that of other frescoes, stored funerary goods or the gender of the buried person. |
