| الوصف: | Jamblique, dans le Protreptique, rassemble en une large synthèse de nombreux textes empruntés la plupart du temps à des philosophes non nommés, au premier plan desquels Platon et Aristote, et enserre ces extraits dans un commentaire exégétique syncrétiste. Dans le cas du troisième anonyme, le penseur non identifié que l’on ne peut encore désigner que comme l’Anonyme de Jamblique, le commentaire est, à plusieurs reprises, dissonant par rapport à son objet. Le texte morcelé transmis par Jamblique est, de surcroît, marqué par des difficultés syntaxiques qui ne peuvent toutefois masquer la puissance et l’originalité de la pensée. Beaucoup d’indices convergents, en dépit du problème non résolu du dialecte utilisé, suggèrent de rattacher ce texte à la tradition de Démocrite. Iamblichus, in the Protrepticus, brings together many texts mainly borrowed from unnamed philosophers, first and foremost from Plato and Aristotle, into a broad synthesis, framing all of these quoted fragments with a syncretic exegetical commentary. With reference to the third unnamed thinker, as yet unidentified and referred to as Iamblichi Anonymus, there are several discrepancies between the text and its exegetical commentary. Moreover the discontinuous text of the Anonymus as quoted in the Protrepticus presents syntactical difficulties; one cannot however fail to notice the strength and originality of the thought it conveys. In spite of the unsolved problem of the dialect used by the author, many converging clues point to the tradition of Democritus. |
