Nous étudions plus particulièrement ici l’insertion dans le récit d’une référence virgilienne qui participe aussi à l’ancrage historique et géographique d’un Voyage littéralement Extraordinaire. The article analyses the part played by a Latin quotation in the construction of the geographic imagery of Jules Verne’s novel: The Castle of the Carpathians (1892). We more particularly study here the insertion into the narrative of a Virgilian reference which also participates in the historical and geographical moorings of a literally Extraordinary Journey. |
