| الوصف: | Cette recherche porte sur l’étude interdisciplinaire et la restauration de la sculpture en papier-mâché Love Me de l’artiste britannique Sarah Lucas, propriété de la Fundation Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (Torino). L’œuvre présente des détériorations dues principalement à une mauvaise conservation, une surface souillée et des restaurations précédentes réalisées avec des matériaux non adaptés. Le dialogue constant et necessaire avec l’artiste a aidé à comprendre sa volonté, le concept et le sens de l’œuvre nous permettant de projeter une intervention de restauration correcte du point de vue de la méthodologie. The thesis project concerned the interdisciplinary study and the conservation treatment of Sarah Lucas’ papier-mâché sculpture Love Me, owned by the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation (Turin). The sculpture suffered mainly from structural damages caused by external factors such as several transports, ingrained surface dirt and previous conservation treatments made with inappropriate materials. The dialogue with the artist was necessary and helpful to understand the artist’s intention and the meaning of the oeuvre, in order to perform a conscious conservation treatment. |
