الوصف: A partir de un breve recuerdo del papel y del potencial melodramático del personaje infantil en el cine latinoamericano, el presente artículo analiza cómo este potencial ha sido desarrollado en una decena de películas argentinas de la postdictadura que evocan un contexto histórico y cuya trama se estructura en torno a la ausencia (muerte, desaparición) del padre.
A partir d’un bref rappel du rôle et du potentiel mélodramatique du personnage enfantin dans le cinéma latino-américain, le présent article analyse comment ce potentiel a été développé dans une dizaine de films argentins de la post-dictature qui évoquent un contexte historique et dont la trame se structure autour de l’absence (mort, disparition) du père.
Based upon a brief reminder of the role and melodramatic potential of childrens’ characters in Latin American cinema, this article analyzes how this same potential has been developped in some ten Argentinian films after the end of the dictatorship, which evoke a historical context and whose plot revolves around the father’s absence (death, disappearance).
