| الوصف: | L’idée que l’indo-européen présentait un alignement ergatif, et non un alignement nominatif-accusatif comme la plupart des langues qui en dérivent, a toujours été minoritaire, mais reste néanmoins présente chez certains auteurs jusqu’à aujourd’hui. L’objet de cet article est de montrer que cette hypothèse n’est fondée ni sur des arguments empiriques, ni sur des indices conduisant à la reconstruction d’un stade ergatif dans la préhistoire de l’indo-européen. The idea that Indo-European had an ergative alignment, and not a nominative-accusative alignment like most of the languages derived from it, has always been in the minority, but is still held by some authors to this day. The aim of this article is to show that this hypothesis is based neither on empirical arguments, nor on evidence leading to the reconstruction of an ergative stage in the prehistory of Indo-European. |
