| الوصف: | À Mayotte, de nombreux mineurs en âge d’être scolarisés ne le sont pas. L’ineffectivité de ce droit fondamental concerne essentiellement des enfants d’origine comorienne dont nous retraçons les trajectoires migratoires et familiales à l’échelle de l’archipel. À partir d’enquêtes ethnographiques réalisées depuis 2015 à Mayotte, nous constatons que le problème de la non-scolarisation interroge plus largement la précarisation du statut et des droits des mineurs « étrangers » dans une société où les rapports d’altérité sont au cœur des enjeux politiques, sociaux, identitaires. Leur relégation à la marge appelle un examen du contexte dans lequel elle s’inscrit, révélant des exclusions en chaîne qu’ils expérimentent comme autant de violences individuelles et collectives. In Mayotte, many minors of school age are not being educated. The ineffectiveness of this fundamental right mainly concerns children of Comorian origin, whose migratory and family trajectories we trace across the archipelago. Based on ethnographic surveys carried out since 2015, we show that the problem of non-schooling more broadly questions the precariousness of the status and rights of “foreign” minors in a society where relations of otherness are at the heart of political, social and identity issues. Their relegation to the margins calls for examining the context in which it takes place, revealing chain exclusions that they experience as so much individual and collective violence. |
