| الوصف: | Entre 1964 et 1966 S. Y. Agnon a publié les quatre premiers ainsi que le dernier chapitre de son roman, Dans le magasin de M. Lublin, roman qui n’est paru dans son intégralité qu’en 1974, soit quatre ans après la mort de l’auteur. Cet ouvrage est une manifestation parfaite du dialogisme où, à travers, d’une part, les différents discours de personnages clés et, d’autre part, les couches linguistiques diverses de l’hébreu (biblique et mishnique), d’araméen et d’un certain vocabulaire tiré de l’allemand et du yiddish, surgit une identité à triple facette : celle du shtetl galicien, celle de la culture allemande d’avant-guerre et celle du sionisme. Une identité composée, certes, mais surtout menacée à jamais par la guerre – menace perpétuelle de l’existence humaine et juive. En mars 1965, le poète Avot Yeshurun déclare dans un entretien avec l’écrivaine Rachel Eitan : « Pour moi, il est évident que si la Shoah n’avait pas eu lieu, les Juifs polonais auraient pu devenir volontairement trilingues : yiddish, hébreu et polonais. » Puis, en ce qui concerne son arrivée en Palestine : « Et moi, au début je me suis forcé à changer la langue de ma vie (la langue de mes amours, de mes colères, de mes larmes) pour une langue nouvelle. Souvent je me suis demandé : “Attends, en quelle langue penses-tu ?” […] Peu à peu j’ai appris à absorber les deux langues l’une dans l’autre pour créer la mienne, ma langue poétique personnelle. » L’objectif de cet article est d’examiner le dialogisme narratif chez Agnon et poétique chez Yeshurun afin de déceler un changement majeur dans le processus identitaire israélien, à savoir celui qui va de la figure du Nouveau Juif – le mythe fondateur du mouvement sioniste au début du xxe siècle – vers le Juif immigré et renouvelé de nos jours. Between 1964 and 1966 Agnon published five chapters of his novel In Mr. Lublin’s Store. The novel was published in its entirety in 1974. This work is intrinsically dialogical : various speeches of key characters on the one side, superposition of different layers of Hebrew –both biblical and mishnaic– with Aramaic, as well as with German and Yiddish words on the other, give rise to a threefold identity, combining the heritage of the Galician shtetl with pre-war German culture and Zionism. This compound identity appears threatened by war : by the First World War, according to the novel’s historical setting, but also by War in its symbolic dimension, representing a constant threat both for human and Jewish existence. In March 1965, the poet Avot Yeshurun said in an interview with Rachel Eitan : “For me, it is obvious that, if the Shoah had not happened, Polish Jews could have deliberately become trilingual : Yiddish, Hebrew and Polish.” Then, talking about his arrival to Palestine, he adds : “And I, at the beginning, tried hard to change the language of my life (the language of my love, my anger, my tears) for a new language. Often, I asked myself : ‘Wait, in which language are you thinking ?’ Even in my dreams I was afraid to speak in Yiddish. I calmed down after translating everything into Hebrew… Little by little I learned how to assimilate each language in the other in order to create my own, my personal poetic language.” The aim of this paper is to discuss Agnon’s narrative and Yeshurun’s poetic dialogism in order to detect a major change in the Israeli identity process : i.e. the move from the New Jew – the founding myth of the Zionist movement at the beginning of the 20th century – to today’s renewed immigrant Jew. חמישה פרקים מן הרומן בחנותו של מר לובלין פורסמו על ידי ש״י עגנון בין השנים 4691 ו-1966. הרומן בשלמותו ראה אור רק ב-1974. רומן זה מעמיד דוגמא מעניינת לקרוי בביקורת העכשווית ״דיאלוגיות״. באמצעות השיח השונה של כול אחת מן הדמויות ובאמצעות הגיוון בשפות )עברית, מקראית ומשנאית, יידיש, גרמנית( עולה ומגיחה זהות יהודית רב שכבתית : זו של השטטל הגליצאי, זו של התרבות הגרמנית שלפני המלחמה וזו החדשה, הציונית, זהות עשירה ומורכבת המאויימת דרך קבע על ידי המלחמה. המשורר אבות ישורון, בראיון עם רחל איתן שפורסם ב 1965, אומר : ״תחילה אילצתי את עצמי להמיר את לשון חיי )השפה שבה בכיתי, אהבתי, כעסתי וקיללתי( בשפה החדשה. לעתים קרובות הייתי מתעכב לרגע ושואל : ״חכה, באיזו לשון את חושב ?״ ואפילו בחלום הייתי מקיץ בבהלה משום שדיברתי יידיש, ״מתרגם״ הכל לעברית – ורק אז נחה דעתי בחלום. לאט לאט למדתי להטמיע את שתי הלשונות זו בזו, עד שנוצרה כנראה אותה שפת שיר האישית שלי.״ מאמר זה מנסה לבחון, באמצעות הסיפורת הפוליפונית של עגנון והשירה של אבות ישורון, את התפתחות הזהות היהודית המודרנית, מן היהודי החדש במיתוס הציוני השליט בראשית המאה ה-20 אל היהודי המתחדש בחברה הרב-תרבותית בישראל של היום. |
