| الوصف: | Le Département des Alpes-Maritimes a été créé en 1793 après la conquête du Comté de Nice par les armées de la Première République. Il est supprimé en 1814 avec le retour du Comté de Nice au royaume de Sardaigne. Le traité conclu en 1860 entre Napoléon III et Cavour organise la cession du Comté de Nice à la France. Un nouveau département est créé avec adjonction de l’arrondissement de Grasse détaché du département du Var. En 1947 le département est agrandi des territoires de Tende et de la Brigue. Ces modifications frontalières donnent au département des Alpes-Maritimes des caractéristiques particulières : une administration fortement périphérique, une identité administrative instable, un pays frontière tantôt nommé Côte d’Azur, tantôt French Riviera, etc. Ce département est historiquement une marche frontière. The Department of Alpes-Maritimes was created in 1793 after the conquest of the County of Nice by the armies of the First Republic. It has been abolished in 1814 with the return of Nice County in the kingdom of Sardinia. The treaty concluded in 1860 between Napoleon III and Cavour organizes assignment County Nice to France. A new department is created with the addition of the “arrondissement” of Grasse detached from the department of Var. In 1947 the department is enlarged by the addition of Tende and La Brigue. These changes give the border department of Alpes-Maritimes special features: a peripheral administration, an identity, a administrative unstable country border sometimes called French Riviera, sometimes French Riviera, and so on. The department is historically an administrative march. |
