| الوصف: | Du paysage, rien ne peut tenir dans nos gabarits classiques (i.e. nature/culture, humain/non-humain, etc.). C’est le constat que tout lecteur assidu pourra tirer de l’immense bibliographie dont le paysage est aujourd’hui la visée. En d’autres termes, le paysage met notre pensée en crise. De fait, vivre (pour bien parler) du paysage requiert de nouvelles méthodes et c’est à cette perspective que nous nous livrons tout au long de l’article. Pour ce faire, le corps est au cœur de la démarche et devient progressivement une interface de lecture et d’écriture de l’espace, au gré de « l’expérience vécue du temps », comme l’exprimait l’artiste Barnett Newman. Plus tard, l’usure aussi éreintante que gratifiante et induite par le rythme de la marche va augurer d’une instauration paysagère progressive, par-delà le seul véhicule de l’art, donc vers une mobilisation plus qu’une fixation. When it comes to landscape, none of our classical ontologies (e.g. nature/culture or human/non-human) are satisfying. Such a conclusion can be drawn by any committed reader parsing the abundant literature which takes landscape as its central subject. Thus, I set out to explore new ways of understanding the ambiguous essence of landscape by placing my own body at the center of what I do. As an interface, it goes along the reading and the writing of space and across a “physical sensation of time”, as artist Barnett Newman once put it. As I shall show, walking tears and wears the body and not only does it fulfill a slow degradation but also inadvertently yields a significant reward, making the body – in flesh and mind – an interface for ingoing and outgoing signals. This way I will go beyond the theory of a merely art-mediated landscape, thus, toward a mobilization rather than a fixation. |
