مستخلص: Crop production has faced numerous challenges because of recent occurrences of unusual weather. The loss of photosynthesis is frequently linked with varying levels of evapotranspiration caused by unfamiliar growing conditions, which finally leads to crop failure. To avoid crop damage in the event of unanticipated photosynthetic decline, it is critical to assess the carotenoid and chlorophyll contents, as well as their responses to drought conditions. Therefore, it was aimed to evaluate how water stress, which can be produced by extreme weather, affected physiological parameters, photosynthetic pigments (total chlorophyll, chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, chlorophyll a/b and carotenoid), and fruit macronutrient concentrations (N, P and K) in the strawberry under various color mulch circumstances. When compared to the unmulched, black, and transparent mulch treatments, the plants under the silver mulch application retained 31%, 17%, and 13% more water in their leaves and had 28%, 9%; and 6% greater Stomatal conductivity (Sc). The silver mulch type, together with the black mulch type, was the application that had the best outcomes on the macro elements. IR50 application reduced total chlorophyll (10%), chlorophyll a (10%), and carotenoid (9%), chlorophyll b (4%), Leaf water potential (Lwp) (14%), Sc (37%), and N, P and K concentrationrations by 19%, 24%, and 16%, respectively. As a result, it has been demonstrated that providing the optimum amount of irrigation water and choosing the correct color mulch can provide maximum benefit and that using the silver x IR100 combination can minimize the severity of abiotic stress factors such as drought to a certain level under Mediterrenian climate conditions
