مستخلص: This study aimed to analyze the lack of emotional intelligence in school-age children and how it affected them socially and academically in the school setting. Students with low EI could not recognize their emotions and how to deal with them properly, which caused social skill delays and low academic performance. The participants in the study were fourth-grade students in one elementary school. Participants completed a pretest before implementing social-emotional learning strategies and a posttest once treatment was complete. The Researcher used the EasyCBM Reading Proficient assessment to measure reading comprehension. The Emotion Expression Scale for Children was used to measure students' emotional intelligence. The Matson Evaluation of Social Skills for Youngsters was used to measure students' social skills. [The dissertation citations contained here are published with the permission of ProQuest LLC.
