مستخلص: Does the societal disruption resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic compel our nation's educators to pause, step back, and ask: "For our part, how can we do things better?" As practicing educators, do we need to be reminded regarding which skills, proficiencies, and dispositions elicit and support students' academic engagement? Metaphorically, do we need an instructional seminar to respectfully remind us of "the what, how, and why" involved in deep learning? Educators cannot realistically know what, how, or when to teach until they understand both whom they are teaching and the turbulent cross-currents in the world in which students are being educated.
