The article discusses an agreement between the British Publishers Association (PA) and Indian book distributer UBS Publishers Distributors (UBSPD). The agreement stipulates that UBSPD will increase the level of checks in place to prevent the leakage of illegal South Asian books in to the British market. A 2007 court case is cited in which an Indian court ruled that the selling of these low-priced Indian books abroad constitutes copyright infringement. |
