The article discusses what law librarians should do when they are asked an "unanswerable" question. The author details various types of questions that can't be answered and the ways to deal with them. Common types of unanswerable questions include questions about the future, like when a court case will be decided, questions whose answers rely on data that has not yet been gathered by researchers, and questions which have answers that rely on classified or private information. The difference between unanswerable questions and hard to answer questions is examined. |
